The Charlotte Douglas International Airport has implemented multiple renovation and structural expansions, with the Terminal Lobby being called the “signature project”. The $600 million project adds 175,000 square feet to the lobby while renovating another 191,000 square feet.
The new lobby is covered by a massive 146,000 square foot glass canopy planned over the pedestrian sky-bridges and roads between the terminal and parking complex.
